I write (and speak) about philosophy and economics for a living. Basically, I try to break complex issues down so people can see the fundamental principles involved and understand the solution. Kind of like what a Jiu-Jitsu instructor does for self-defense.

There is a link to most of my work at www.alexepstein.com

Hobbies:
Besides Jiu-Jitsu, and assuming that thinking about Jiu-Jitsu, discussing Jiu-Jitsu, and watching Jiu-Jitsu DVDs don't count as other hobbies...snowboarding.

Anything motivating and inspiring. Especially: Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D. Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto (2). Vivaldi's 4 Seasons (Winter 1 and Summer Presto).
